PRESCRIBED DEBT

My first review was taken down for whatever reason. My edcon debt prescribed a long time ago but you are collecting on it which is wrong and goes against "Section 126B" of the NCA. I need that prescription letter sent to my email address and my money reversed. I don't understand why you would continue taking my money when you should not be. MBD had said the debt prescribed now you are collecting.

Good day Ramungoni M

We refer to your complaint and confirm that we have now received feedback from head office regarding the Edcon account. Kindly note that we were informed that your Edcon account was at one point in a prescription holding pool to prescribe by 31 July 2020.  Due to the payment done by you on 02 July 2020 which was prior to the prescription date, this payment acted as an interrupter and the account therefore did not prescribe. Please note that we were also advised that the account was never placed with MBD attorneys and request for you to supply the contact person or details of whoever you consulted with to our complaints department in order for an investigation to be done offline.

Best Regards
