Consumer Friend......what a joke!

Apparently, anyone who manages to get hold of your ID number can instruct Consumer Friend to block and cause havoc with your accounts on your behalf. Consumer Friend, knowing that this person is not you, will accept major changes to be made to ALL your accounts without informing you, and with out any form of permission from you the account holder. Then when you inform them that they have messed up your accounts, it is up to you to find out who the person is that requested them to block your accounts and then have this person write them a letter requesting Consumer Friend to unblock it.

Good day

We acknowledge your complaint and kindly wish to address your concerns below.

Please note on the 12.07.2018, our offices were supp**** with a Form 17.1 application for debt review on your behalf from a registered debt counsellor practising under company name, RS Debt Force PTY (LTD)

The debt counsellor on record is known as Mohammed Siddique Ebrahim (NCRDC1235).  The Form 17.1 is a prescribed form in terms of the National Credit Act 2005 and is a notice of your application to all listed credit providers for the debt review process to commence in terms of section 86 of the Act.

Unfortunately this notice also serves as an instruction for the creditor to block the accounts on record in order to avoid further utilization of the accounts within the process.

We have taken the liberty to contact your debt counsellor on even date on your behalf who confirmed that contact was made with you yesterday and confirmation received from you that you wish to remain under the process.

Should you have since had a change of heart and wish to cancel, kindly contact the above debt counsellor on record to prepare the necessary documentation to have you removed.

Kind Regards

The Consumer Friend Team
