Consumer Friend Untruthful

Exactly a year ago, this month, I paid off all of my debt through Consumer Friend. I received oaid up letters and a letter stating that my debt counselling has been paid off and is finalised, that was in November 2017. I was just made aware that I am still listed under debt counselling. A year later. Quite pathetic after I even received written confirmation of my status with the credit bureau being changed. Can my status now be changed properly please and can I get truthful correspondance about it??!!!!!!!!!

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint and refer to our telecom on even date.  As discussed, we will need to obtain a copy of your credit report in order to establish how our offices may assist you in this regard.

Please note that our offices are not responsible for listing you under debt counselling when you enter into the process as this status is placed on all bureau's through the Debt Help System used by the debt counsellor on record, who also ensures that your status in terms of a clearance certificate is updated accordingly.

We would however be happy to assist you in resolving this matter and kindly await from you, your credit bureau report which will allow us to investigate and try and assist where possible.

Kind Regards
The Consumer Friend Team
