The consultants are very rude!!!
Constantia Metering now referred to Cosistent metering have the most rude and unprofessional consultants. So recently they installed the meters for water, the very first month we could not buy and when we called they said we needed to buy with R385 because it was our first purchase. The second month we struggled again and had to call, we spoke to a very rude lady who said we have to buy with R385 since it's our first purchase that month. Now we're being told that the fees went up and we need to buy with R420, the very rude gentleman I spoke to say we need to buy with R840 because we did not buy in July. The question that we asked them is why do we find out about this new information everytime we phone them when they can inform us through emails, having a meter should give you control on how much you spend on these but we don't. He asked me if they need to tell me to buy water? But it's just how rude and how quick they are to raise their voices when we are here asking for the information that they're keeping from us.

WRONG ELECTRICITY BILLING
I moved into a new property where Consistent Metering is the electricity and water service provider. When I opened the account with them they advised that the account with the previous tenant will be shut down on the 28th and that I must call on the 1st of March for them to reconnect for me. I moved in on the 1st to find that the electricity on, I then called the reconnection number provided by their employee, Helen, the number was not working, it was off. A couple of days after moving in, we received an electricity bill effective from the 28th of February. I have been emailing back and forth with this Helen person who claims that she was the old tenant move out on the 27th and that we moved in on the 28th. They even scratched the account opening form date of the 1st of March and they themselves wrote the 28th of February to force me to agree that I moved in on the 28th of February, as if I was not there when I moved in. I will advise people to ensure that you do not open a new account with an electricity supplier until you move in physically. You might as well stay without electricity for a couple of hours while they open your account as a new occupier instead of being smeared with older bills you have no business with. She finally told me that she has referred the matter to her boss, Leoni, of which I am yet to hear from her.

Complaint Regarding Negligence and Unjust Demand Letter
I am not happy with the service I am receiving. The company is quick to send demand letters, but there was no proper follow-up before doing so. They claim that the invoice was sent via SMS. I do not regularly check SMS messages, and I did not receive that SMS at all. Previously, all invoices and statements were sent to me via email. The last statement I received was dated 10 October. This time, they decided to send the invoice via SMS without notifying me of any change in communication method. I am not sure why this decision was made or who it was convenient for, but it was not my fault. This shows negligence on the company’s side. Furthermore, the amounts on the invoices do not align. The full-month invoice is R900, yet the half-month invoice is R650. This does not make sense and has not been explained. Overall, there was no proper communication or follow-up, but they were quick to issue a demand letter. This level of service is unacceptable.
