Connected Devices is selling either ****** or PRE-OWNED devices as new

Connected Devices is selling ****** and/or PRE-OWNED products as new.

I purchased a device from Connected Devices in December 2021. About a month ago, the device stopped being able to connected to any network (regardless of what SIM card was used). I was advised by Vodacom that the device had been blacklisted although they were unable to say by whom. Vodacom was unable to unblacklist the device without knowing who blacklisted it in the first place. I spent the next few weeks (without a phone) and more than 10 hours going to various branches/businesses to try and resolve the issue. Eventually, this came to the attention of Connected Devices who then contacted me and offered to replace my device, which I found strange. I didn't receive a replacement device as they apparently do not have stock. I wrote to Connected Devices to ask if they were selling ****** merchandise. Connected Devices rep**** to say that their 'supplier' sometimes purchases unwanted upgrades from the public and sells it on to Connected Devices (and you as the customer). If the first owner defaults on their contract with their service provider the device may have be blacklisted. In other words, my device was blacklisted because Connected Devices is selling either ****** and/or PRE-OWNED merchandise. I have been trying to get a replacement device from them but I am no longer receiving any communication.

DO NOT PURCHASE A DEVICE FROM CONNECTED DEVICES, IT MIGHT GET BLACKLISTED AND IF IT DOES THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
