Money Greedy Company
When we moved into our flat, comtel was the designated infrastructure provider for the building. The initial installation fee was a R1900 for a satellite connection. Within the next month or so the suburb where live we went live with vumatel fibre, but low and behold not our complex, because comtel doesn't have decent well-known ISPs contracted into their service. After waiting for 9 months we eventually get our 100mb/s fibre line only to be smacked with another R1800 fee. R1100 for a router and R700 for labour. What I can't understand is every other ISP offers free installation with a router. Now we have to fork out more money for another router (even though we have a router but can't use because comtel prefers to manage the network and forces you to install their sub-par tech). Sale consultants are rude, and are only quick to respond when they can get an upgrade sale.
Coming from a frogfoot connection and not having a single complaint, to being with comtel where I think our customer file is thicker than an encyclopedia with complaints and concerns.
