Laptop sent in for repairs, when recieved mousepad faulty and missing *****s
I initially updated my Windows 7 to Windows 10. After the update the Laptop was stuck (looping) on the reboot screen. I took my laptop to Computer Mania (recently opened a branch in Clearwater Mall), and I asked for a quote on a 1TB internal hard drive and to fix the OS. The same day I received a call saying my laptop is ready. A week later I fetched it and upon inspection, I noticed the touchpad was not working.
The gentleman at the counter said "the guy who fixed it said it wasn't working when he received it." I said no, it was working, and I have a witness who can testify to that fact. I paid for the laptop repairs and suggested that it might be the software drivers that aren't installed so I'll go home and see if I can download it. After doing so the touchpad is still faulty. I opened the laptop to see if there are any damages to the touchpad, only to notice that there are inside *****s missing as well.
How could the initial receiver determine whether the touchpad was working, or not, seeing that it was stuck and looping on a restart screen, and without the updated drivers installed. It also was not delineated on the inspection sheet given to me.
This comes down to poor workmanship and a case of, "lets get it done quickly", as opposed to "let's do some effort".
