Computer Mania Canal Walk

I recently had to purchase a PC for one of my three children, as both “Robotics” and “IT” are now part of their school syllabus. The school advised that there were min. specs required, Ie. At least 8GB RAM, Core I5 or higher, etc.

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday looming, I thought I would get both a laptop for my daughter going to university net year and the PC for my son. I ended up getting busy with work, and eventually rushed to Computer Mania to get a bundle they were selling. Megatek Core i5/8GB/480GB SDD 9th Gen for R11’499, which includes monitor, mouse and keyboard.

In my rush, I overlooked the fact that it had no optical drive and came with only LAN and not WIFI or Bluetooth.

I took it back the next day and advised that it did not have all the components I wanted and wanted to return it for a refund. The staff were very professional and courteous. They did first advise me that they could of course add those features with ease fi I required it. I told them that I had actually also purchased another similar bundle from another supplier, which just happened to be a last minute clearance offer.

They quickly inspected the goods and refunded my money. My reason for writing this review, is that I was so impressed with the customer service throughout, regardless of me returning the product and losing out on an R11499 sale. Matthew and the team and Computer Mania Canal Walk, were really great, helpful and friendly. Other staff members walked up to me while Matthew who I was dealing with, was on a call with another customer and they all asked if I had been helped and if there was anything they could assist me with.

Just very impressed with the service overall and despite having eventually purchased a product somewhere else, I will definitely be back at their store as their prices are also very good.
