Computech Credit Services - Update on the saga

I feel bad for anyone that sent these people money, in fear of being listed with the credit bureaus, or that just had to deal with these ******. They probably get hold of people's full names, contact details and ID numbers when it is filled in on one of their sites - sa-loans.co.za. OK, not going to make this a long post. If people want more info, I'll do another post. I did a lot of digging on this company. There is absolutely nothing that points to them being a legitimate business. The first clues for me: 1. Their office is a PO Box. Must be a very stressed office. So cramped up. Especially with this pandemic... 2. No FSP registration number. Not listed with the NCR. You need one to offer people loans. No names of people to contact, just "legal (doubt it) clerk" 4. No debt collectors registration number. See for yourself - https://www.cfdc.org.za/active-register/ 5. Yes, you do need a registration number. See for yourself - https://www.justice.gov.za/legislation/acts/1998-114.pdf 6. They charge 132% interest per annum on the fictional outstanding balance of R1,267.60. 7. No court case number on any letter. 8. No date filled in where it states on their "72 hours until listing" letter: "By close of business on _____ you will be listed". That was on the 18th of November. Now they send a letter stating there is still 24 hours left before listing. Probably can't fit clocks or calendars into that cramped PO box.
