What is going on with this medical aid

On the 24th of April my Dad got admitted for an incarcerated hernia. he had to have emergency surgery and was then in hospital for a duration of just under 2 weeks.

I then received an sms and an email from the labs (Drs. Du Buisson, Kramer) showing that Compcare has not paid R 7378.17 to them reason being Annual limit exceeded. Since when are there annual limits when in hospital?

Please investigate as he is 89 and most definitely not paying this! We have medical aid for a reason! he has been a member for well over 25 years and it`s the first time we have been told this.
