Terrible Treatment, ***********, Underhanded and Negligent

DO NOT USE THIS MEDICAL AID!!! After months of terrible, debilitating pain I had surgery at the beginning of June to remove Endometriosis. Compcare made a very tough, painful situation even worse. At first, they did not want to pay for the hospital procedure, they did not see the surgery as "neccessary". I had to get a motivational letter from my doctor - then I finally got preauthorisation. But they failed to tell me they were not covering the full amount - so now I having to foot most of the bill myself!!!! This was after MONTHS of trying to get them to even PROCESS the claims from this procedure. And they STILL have not attended to the account form the anaesthesiologist. At one point they wrongfully suspended my account, which I only found out about because my claims weren't going through. After several calls, being switched from one person to the next, I finally spoke to someone who lifted the suspension, but then I had to resubmit all my claims - some of which I am still resubmitting today. The treatment I received from this medical aid, and total clumsy incompetence that I have been subjected to has been so destructive and frankly traumatic. I sought treatment for a condition that had me in such bad pain I couldn't function - but now my livelihood is threatened because I am having to pay for hospital bills - this is what we want to avoid being on a medical aid! What is the point of belonging to a medical aid if not for this!!!
