POOR PATHETIC SERVICE

My grandmother is 83 years of age, she had seen the Physician this morning regarding 'tight chest and wheezing' , physician sent the patient for admissions. Diagnosis Bronchitis/ Pneumonia as the symptoms presented is in line of the diagnosis. At admission to Roseacres Hospital, the admin clerk called Compcare and the response was " the authorization is pending due to an xray report confirming the diagnosis. My late grandfather got admitted x3 to hospital with the above diagnosis and this was never requested on admission. I am sure that the physician has better things to do than admitting patients for no apparent reason. Upon calling the medical aid myself requesting to speak to their team leader the hung up the call three times. This is an 83 year old patient paying R3600 for medical aid monthly, VERY VERY DISGUSTING, AND I WILL PROCEED WITH AN INTERNAL COMPLAINT AS WELL AS REPORTING THE MATTER TO COUNCIL OF MEDICAL SCHEME
