NO FEEDBACK REGARDING CLAIM EA LIGHTFOOT ***
<p>My husband (J.Lightfoot) had an appointment to see the Cardiologist (Dr.Bennet) on 06 October 2016. I did receive an Authorization number from Compcare ( ********** dated 03.10.2016) for the visit. The reason for the visit to the cardiologist was because he need to see Dr.Bennet yearly because of an MI in 2010, so the main reason for seeing Dr. Bennet was follow-up visit. </p> <p> </p> <p>The account send to the medical aid was declined because accoring to Compcare the ICD 10 code is for Obesity. If they look more into the account they will see that there is 3 x ICD 10 codes (I25.9 - Chronic ischemic heart disease), (R07.4 - Chest pain, unspecified) AND (E66.0 – Obesity). So now the claim was declined because of 1 x ICD10 code (E66.0).</p> <p> </p> <p>As explained in my e-mail send to Compcare that although he is overweight there is also a reason behind that and the Dr’s are busy doing test to see why? As a medical aid you should now that sometimes Obesity is also a MEDICAL CONDITION</p> <p> </p> <p>In my 23years on a medical aid I never struggle with any medical aid like COMPCARE. (PATHETIC)</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
