Compcare medical scheme_COST and Change
Good day, Unhappy client: The migration from the Mumed ED option to Selfsure migration was notified to members on 14 June 2024, with only the selfsure brochure attached.
2 July 2024- notice received that migration has taken place.
On further investigation it is noted that there is a R3000 increase to the monthly contribution. This is not feasible for pensioners to suddenly just pay R3000 extra in a month. There has been no curtsey call /email or outreach to assist folk in understanding this implication.
Neither to explain the changes to the plan and the shortfalls that may now occur. I feel this is very bad client care for members belonging to the scheme for over 15 years.
We will be considering leaving the scheme due to this action as there is no comparative lower plan that they can afford which will cover their medical needs.
you have lost loyal customers with this drastic change. and non communication with members. A random brochure does not explain the comparative changes in cost, service and coverage. totally unacceptable.
on reaching out to the call center there only explanation is that is due to covid costs.. unacceptable that members now have to cough up more than R3000 on a specific plan to cover shortfalls incurred by the scheme.
