CompCare Medical Aid ********* and Pathetic - STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Highly NOT recommended

Absolutely terrible Medical Aid. They only rip their clients off!!!

I've been a member for quite a few years and barely used my medical. I never had a problem when it still was Selfmed, but since they changed to CompaCare, it's been a challenge... I ended up in hospital for 5 hours in January (out of my control), they barely covered the costs, I had to pay in quite an amount. They TOOK MY savings and day-to-day and according to other medical aids and doctors I've spoken to, they are not allowed to use your day-to-day for hospital costs. I have not been able to use my medical aid after my 5 hour hospitalization since January as every time I want to renew my prescription for monthly medication, their reply is "you're out of funds". How in the world is this possible if I don't use my day-to-day. It's been 9 months, and I've been paying my premium every month (not missed it once)?!

They've also increased my premium without my consent to "top-up the savings" they used without my consent in the first place.

Stay away from this medical aid. It's an absolute nightmare!
