Waste of time and money

I recently visited Coco Vogue Spa with my mother, who visited me from Johannesburg. I had carefully chosen this spa experience as a special treat for her, expecting a relaxing and seamless experience from start to finish, but sadly, it left us both feeling disappointed and embarrassed.

Upon arrival, I confirmed our booking at reception and proceeded to purchase towels. While I was still busy with the payment process, the the****** approached my mother (who was seated and waiting) with the card machine to take payment for the towels. This was awkward and completely unnecessary. It also showed a clear lack of internal communication and briefing amongst the staff, which immediately set the wrong tone for the experience.

Fortunately, the spa treatments themselves were enjoyable and professionally done, this is the one aspect we did appreciate.

However, the main reason I selected Coco Vogue was because of the advertised wine and charcuterie board to cap off the day. This was meant to be a highlight, a moment to unwind and savour with my mother.

Instead, we left the treatment room only to be told by the the****** that “your mocktails and charcuterie board are ready outside.” I immediately asked about the wine, since that’s what I had booked and paid for, only to be bluntly told that there was no wine. No apology, no explanation, no attempt to rectify the situation. It was brushed off as though it didn’t matter.

When we got to the “charcuterie board,” we were stunned. What awaited us was a small plate that looked thrown together with leftovers, as my mother said, it felt like s****s. No cold meats apart from ham and viennas (which is not a charcuterie offering by any standard), no nuts, no dried fruits, no gourmet chocolates, no olives, and no real cheese, just a few tiny, grated pieces. It was shockingly subpar and nothing like what had been advertised or expected.

What was meant to be a beautiful ending to a mother-daughter spa day turned out to be a complete letdown. It felt careless, misleading, and honestly quite disrespectful, especially for the price point and promises made.

I would not recommend Coco Vogue to anyone looking for a quality, well-organized, and customer-focused spa experience. There are plenty of other spas that truly deliver what they promise, Coco Vogue, unfortunately, is not one of them.
