Paid for Two Treatments, Received One – Completely Unacceptable

Absolutely shocking and unacceptable experience at Coco Vogue Spa Tyger Valley.

We purchased a spa voucher through Wikideals for two people and arrived with two towels, as instructed in the booking information. At no point were we informed that these needed to be large bath towels.

Upon arrival, we were told by the receptionist that each person was required to bring TWO bath towels – one to place on the massage bed and another to cover themselves. I have visited numerous spas over the years and have never once been expected to bring my own bath towels- this is always included in a professional spa..

We were then presented with three ridiculous options: either rent towels from the spa at an additional cost of R300 per person and return them afterwards, share the small towels we had brought and split the spa treatment time between the two of us, which would mean that each get 30min treatment or simply forfeit one person's treatment.

As a result, only one person was able to enjoy the spa experience, despite the fact that we had paid for two people.

This is completely unreasonable and feels like a deliberate way to extract additional money from customers. Essential requirements such as bringing large bath towels should be clearly communicated before arrival, not sprung on customers at check-in when there is no practical solution.

What should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal. Poor communication, poor customer service, and a complete lack of consideration for paying customers. I would not recommend this spa to anyone.
