Horrible Service at Coco Vogue, Tygervalley

I purchased a deal voucher for 2x pedicures at Coco Vogue, Tygervalley. I called them for an appointment and was asked to use the WhatsApp line instead. I did so and, after what appeared to be a very lucid conversation, I WAS OFFERED a 10am slot on 16 Jan 2023, which I accepted with “Ok. Will see you at 10am on Monday”. No ambiguity there, right? Wrong! When I arrived at the salon at 09h50, I was informed that my booking hadn’t been confirmed and was made to feel that it was my fault for not waiting on a formal confirmation (whatever that may look like!) Although the employee (Celeste) whom I had been in contact with, admitted that she was at fault, she harped on the fact that I should have received the formal confirmation before coming in. I stated repeatedly that I had never used their services, and therefore I had absolutely no way of knowing that the conversation via WA was not sufficient, but this was apparently irrelevant as she kept harping about the formal confirmation. At this point, I could feel myself losing ‘it’ and asked for a refund. One would expect that she, or even the owner, who was sitting within ear shot (about 1 meter from us), would try to placate me by offering another solution to the situation or at least convince me not to request a refund, but once again, my expectations seemed to high. Celeste immediately looked into whether the voucher could be refunded. When I expressed my feeling about the whole situation, she responded with an almost defiant “I’m sorry you feel that way” Needless to say, I will discourage anyone from visiting this establishment and will share this review/experience on all my social platforms.
