Quantity Versus Pricing - Version 2.0

Coca-Cola must be very shrewd with their pricing and marketing strategies. Once again Coca-Cola is up to a tried and tested - and passed "trick" to fool the consumer into forking out more money. This time its the "diet" range of beverages that are in the spot light.

As of 1 April 2018, the sugar tax was introduced... this pushed the pricing of a 2 litre bottle of Coke and other sugar soft drinks within the Coca-Cola brand up by more than R 0.50 at most retailers. This left the "diet" range behind in pricing which Coca-Cola has decided to manipulate to their advantage.

They have recently started bringing in the "new" 2.5 litre bottles for their entire diet soft drink range, (which to add insult to injury, is also very limited), pushing the price up by a staggering R 1 to R 1.50 at most retailers. Consumer be warned - as soon as Coca-Cola phases out the "limited addition" 2.5 litre range - The price will not drop back to the former price of a 2 litre bottle of Diet Coke etc.

Coca-Cola, when will you stop trying to fool us and rob us of our hard earned money? Drop the price of your beverages and believe me you will sell more and make more money. A win-win for company and consumer.
