New Pack Size a Cheat to Consumers
The new conversions of the plastic bottles from the 500ml to 440ml and 330ml to 300ml is a real cheat to the customers especially since the price remains unchanged. Coca-Cola uses the sugar tax as an excuse but I don't find it reasoning since it is not law to minimize pack sizes as yet, neither has competitors followed suite, neither have you found a reduction in any product pack sizes if any other tax laws were implemented such as VAT. In the summer seasons, consumption of liquids tend to increase regardless of sugar content since dehydration and sun stroke are a greater cause for death so by reducing pack sizes, you are actually cutting the consumption for adequate rehydration along with the retailer since his refrigeration space is limited and the demand increases to 2 bottles instead of 1. With this said, has justification and reduction of sugar intake truly being met? Also, please explain why you are eating the cream of the crop by not reducing the price since you are eliminating a 60ml and 30ml respectively from each bottle so in the end. what is your total savings for company net profits at the expense of cheating the consumers?
