False Promises

Good day

I hace recently closed a Coca Cola Distributor due to promises not being fullfilled and or met by Coca - Cola.

1. When we did our business plan based on records from Coca Cola we anticipated that we would break even around 11000 cases per month but we never reached that milestone. I ended up being both a distributor and a sales rep lloking for customers without being compensated for that. The attitude and service of some sales reps leaves much to be desired.

2. We started very low as most of the customers that we promised did not exist and the reps were very reluctant to open new customers, we still have customers that have not been opened to date but want to buy and get coolers.

3. It was also a process of escalations that eventually led to us to being linked to our agreed customers and all this time we have been running at a loss and took a huge knock financially as we had to pay our monthly commitments while not making any profit. This really drained our buying power as that money had to be diverted to monthly payments.

4. We had days where we did not deliver and had to send our teams to site to look for customers.

5. We were very fortunate by October when we were granted R200 000 0- 00 credit as it was to be our last month operating as we could no longer afford to buy stock for our growing customer base…not to mention that the volumes to break-even as per our business plan are still to be realised.

6. We also anticipated that the December volumes would assist us in recovering some of the start-up losses but were very surprised to have not been in a position to receive stock. In-fact November performance was better than December’s. As a result, we had customer losing faith in us and if this trend continues, we are heading for a disaster.

My request is that this be shared wth the Company CEO so that we can have a chance to share our side of the story.

Regrads
