Expired Valpre Water (Expired 160 days ago)

I've bought a bottle of Valpre Spring Water Sparkling at Cedar Spar in Bothasig @ 11:24 19 July 2021 (Today) Only when i got home in Kraaifontein i realized that the water had expired on 09 March 2021 (160 days ago). I've phone the consumer nr on the bottle ***and spoken to a consultant named Khosi. She told me to drive back to the store (mind you its about 35km and the water was R8.99) so it will be safe to say I've got no satisfaction by dealing with their consumer number. So now what protects me as a consumer from nonsense like this. Do i now not buy "Trusted" Coke products anymore.... AND YES ITS JUST R8.99 but its a R8.99 thats lost now!!!!
