Harassment at Coastlands Hotel in Umhlanga

We recently visited Coastlands Hotel on the 26-06-2021 to Setup Décor for a Birthday Party on the second floor.

Setup went well. After function we went to clear out our Décor stuff. When we were finally done with the packing we proceeded to the service lift at the back with all our equipment. We waited quiet some time then finally the Lift arrived and we loaded our stuff inside. We selected Ba*****t and lift closed. The lift proceeded up 2 floors and stopped. As the lift opened we saw 4 Hotel staff waiting to enter. We advised that it was already full and the staff forcefully entered the lift squeezing in against us. When they realized it was too full they started to take out stuff and leave it outside the lift and that's when i got angry and said they cannot do that as we waited for a long time for the lift and we were not willing to leave anything back has the equipment was very expensive. The other 2 staff left and only 2 staff still remained inside the lift. They were shouting and screaming at us cause we didn't want to put our stuff outside the lift to make place for them.

I emphasized that there was no Covid 19 protocol followed as they were squeezing next to me and my fiancé. This didnt help as they got more enraged and started swearing. I got angry and said I will report them to management but that didn't help. They said Report the matter to whom ever we want and that they were not frightened. The one guy Sabelo started throwing his hand and tray towards me hinting he would hit me. The lift stopped at a few levels up and the both guys jumped off and left. We went down to the Ba*****t there after and offloaded lift and reloaded into our van. I went to Reception to complain to the Manager in charge. I was told that no Manager was on site that night. The reception guy asked me to fill out my complain on a page and I did. It is gone 3 days now and still no feedback from Coastlands Management Team. This is Absolutely Terrible Service from the coastlands Team. I will not recommend that place to anyone going forward!!!
