LESS THAN PREMIUM DEALERSHIP AND SERVICE (CMH Nissan Ballito)

Recently purchased a car from CMH Nissan Ballito and I now believe that it was the biggest mistake ever. I purchased a second hand vehicle and on the day of picking it up instead of being excited I was extremely disappointed. When I spoke to the salesperson I told him that I was in no rush to take the vehicle on the day and they should do a proper job with the cleaning, polishing etc., with that being said, he told me that I can fetch the vehicle the next day. Upon the arrival of the big day I received a vehicle that was not cleaned properly, washed correctly, polished in sections and had been touched up with the incorrect paint which was still wet when I picked it up(It was stated by the sales person that it was the incorrect paint). I was told that I could bring the vehicle back and everything would be sorted out and that the paint needed to sort out the touch-ups would take only one day for them to get.

It was very clear to the dealership that I wanted the vehicle and had even placed a deposit until the EFT cleared, and I don’t understand why they would not start doing up the car in advance and not on the day that I was picking it up.

The following has made me very unhappy:

1.) It has been three/four weeks and nothing has been done.

2.) I have to chase after the dealership, calling to find out information.

3.) The receptionist does not pass on messages to whomever you are wanting to speak to.

4.) A fee of R3950 is paid for service and delivery which the sales person told me was for the washing, polishing and service fee. (Which I cannot see why or for what I paid that amount for)

5.) I had to wait a very long time to get the Log book and number plates which I asked to receive at a closer dealership and all I have received is an emailed picture.

6.) They have claimed that the car was cleaned and washed but upon inspection there were papers in the car, shopping packets and things like the sun-visor and dashboard that were extremely dirty.

7.) It was said that the car was polished but in sections, I believe that the whole car should have been polished and even if they polished in sections there where places that needed to be polished and were not.

8.) If they knew the paint was incorrect they should have not put it on the first place, it looked like they had used a quick-dry correction pen on my vehicle.

9.) Things that should have been disclosed were not that should have been.

10.) I am a student and was assured that they were more than happy to accomidate me within my timetable which is just another promise that has not been fufiled.

11.) On the few occasions of them contacting me there is never a follow up call to confirm plans to deal with the vehicle.

Due to the dealerships actions I am inconvenienced having to bring the vehicle back to them, which is a distance from home (68km round trip) at my own cost. I am aware that the vehicle is pre-owned as I have previously purchased a used vehicle this year, making me well aware of the condition and service that I should have received.

** Only getting a one star review because I have to selece a star if it was my choice they should get what they deserve which is nothing.
