Damaged Car
My mom bought a car in CMH KwaMhlanga, the car is not yet 6 months but bits giving her problems her story reads as follows:
I Mantsha Paulina Mogale bought Opel Mokka Turbo & joy at CHM Umhlanga branch in December 2021, I paid R3000 for the car to be delivered at Hatfield branch. That is where I went to pick it up. In February 2022 it started giving me problems, there was a signal from the cluster that the engine has a problem. I took it to William Hunt Centurion for service, the reason being since I bought the car I requested for the service book. I only received empty promises that it will couriered.
At William Hunt they did service the car afterwards I still experienced same problems, when I drove on the steep heel there was smoke coming from the exhaust. It also loses power on the steep heel, that is when I called Eric the Salesman from Umhlanga Branch & I informed him about the problems. That was on the 28th of April 2022.
He advised me to take the car at Hatfield branch I also requested him to inform the Umhlanga branch manager about the car problems. When I arrived at Hatfield branch the receptionist called Eric to inform him about the Opel Mokka that was brought by me. Eric advised me to call the Branch Manager on the 28th of April 2022 but I failed to get hold him as he did not take my calls. The Manager's name is Given, I called again on the 29th of April 2022. The receptionist promised to send the Branch Manager an email to call me.
But he failed to get back to me, I was promised that the car will be taken to Stock yard to be checked. I was promised again by the receptionist that the Umhlanga Branch will give feedback about the outcome. I waited till I decided to visit the Hatfield branch on the 13th of May 2022 as there was no feedback from Umhlanga Branch.
That is when the Hatfield branch decided to call Umhlanga Branch Manager. I do not know about the outcome but I was advised again by the receptionist that the Umhlanga Branch Manager will give me a call to update me about the car. But while I was at the Hatfield branch I requested for contracts of Umhlanga Branch Manager cellphone number.
I called him same time while still in Hatfield and he told me that is not his problem. I must take it back to where it was serviced, they are the ones that know the problem since they serviced the car. I am not happy because it has been 2 weeks without the car as I am using public transport. And I am not happy with Umhlanga's Branch Manager.
Because the car had problems before the service, he does not want to even assist with the car problems. I am paying for the car I cannot drive within a period of four months. If that is how CMH operates I would like to know
