On the 11 August 2021 I made an online enquiry while looking to purchase a vehicle at CMH Honda The Glen. A guy by the name of Andile Njiko(sales rep) responded to my enquiry and we started chatting. My brother app**** for finance on my behalf since my profile did not allow me to buy the vehicle. On the 14 August 2021, we went to the dealership to go for a test drive on the 2020 Honda WR-V. I enjoyed The drive and we proceeded with the application. Andile Njiko(sales rep) advised us that while we wait for the finance approval, we should pay a holding fee to make sure that the vehicle is not sold while We are in the process of finalizing finance and he reiterated that the money was fully refundable should we no longer want to proceed with the purchase. I duly paid R2000 holding fee.

The finance was successful and after the Finance Manager -Sanet Rademeyer called my brother to advise that there was a balloon payment on the vehicle, I suddenly realized that I was not going to be afford the car, Because I did not want a balloon payment and also wanted a shorter term to pay for the vehicle which was 48 months. On the 17August 2021, I sent Andile a text advising that we would like to decline the Offer, advised him that after punching some numbers, I won’t be able to afford the car and requested my refund. I followed the text with an e-mail on the 18 August 2021 attaching my banking details for the refund. Sanet Rademeyer called be to advise that they have recalculated the instalments and have removed the balloon payment. I told Sanet that I did not want to pay for a vehicle for 72 months as it depreciates on a daily basis, she understood and we ended the call. Later that day the Dealer Principal -Dyalan Pepperell called me to try an convince me to take up the finance for 60 months and that they will find me a cheaper insurance, which I declined and told him again that I wanted to pay the vehicle for 48 months and at a budget that did not exceed R5500 including insurance. He started being aggressive when I said I would still like to decline the offer.

I have been sending Andile Njiko e-mails and text messages of which he has flatly disregarded now that I want my money back. CMH Honda The Glen are ******* running a ******** business.
