OMBUDSMAN AND DEALERSHIPS - SHADY AND UNFAIR
If I could, my rating would be negative 1 star.
I bought a 2015 Ford Ranger 2.2 XL TDCi 4x4 from Cmh Honda The Glen through Ayanda. As this is a big name dealer i expected MUCH more. They sold the bakkie to me stating it is an XLT it a multi function steering wheel as well as bluetooth and the list goes on. (I never test drove the vehicle as i asked a trusted person to do it on my behalf as he works in the industry of vehicles) - he did not know about the XLT and that we specifically looked at that when buying a bakkie.
After having the bakkie for 2 days, i told them something is wrong as there is a sluggish/ jerking movement when driving (and the leaft head light did not work - after it went for roadworthy tests) They fixed the head light and told me there is nothing wrong with the bakkie - I'm a lady and does not know how it feels to drive a bakkie - little do they know I worked for dealerships for more that 5 years as my finace and father owned multipal dealership. - i know how a bakkie should feel.
They kept telling me nothing is wrong with the bakkie, i took the bakkie to a trusted friend a ford, they did a diagnostics on the bakkie and the re****s was al 4 injectors leaking, engin knock and the diesel smell glow plugs was also out of spec. After sending them the diagnostics reposrt they stated they will only fix the glow plugs and claim through my extended warranty. Which i did not allow. The kept saying nothing else was wrong with the bakkie.
I took them to the MIOSA - ombudsman- after a long 5 month wait i WON the case against the dealership. Dylan the dealer principle - a real ass if you ask me- stated that he will not fix everything but only 2 things that will not resolve the situation why the bakkie is faulty. Ombudsman stated their answer is final but they will not tell the dealer that. Now i will need to open a case with NCC which will take another 18 months.
Why do we have an ombuds man to rule in your favour but will not tell the dealer no- they have to fix everything and not just the 2 things he wanted.
This is a very unfair trade and i feel a a waist of time. The ombudsman is there to assist but they dont, dealerships that is very crafty and shady and only care about making money. The dealer principle - Dylan Perrel stated that i am a little girl. Im a grown as woman that makes enough money to buy a bakkie - and i am the little girl!
