Last year September 2015 I bought a BMW 118i at clearance sale at BMW Lyndhurst auto before they closed down. It had all the features I wanted in a car. Been a pleasure driving it until end of July this year. Alternator, thermostat and water pump had to be replaced. I requested the service history of the car as the insurance wanted it. Just to find out that the car was in a accident worth R105 000. Unfortunately this was not disclosed to me at the time of the sale. The dealership has since closed down. BMW SA cant do anything as they dont get involved in sales agreements and they also dont have my file for this sale. They refered me to CMH Group for assistance. I raised the issue with them on 1 August 2016 requesting them for my file. So that I can see if I knowningly signed acceptance of this. Till now they are still looking for the file, which really is raising suspicions. I have sent emails to the Franchise Business Manager as well as the Executive Director of CMH Group. How is it possible that there were no proper record keeping done?? Surely someone from BMW Lyndhurst should have make sure that all the files were properly stored before closing. Or then someone from CMH Group should have taken over this task
