Nissan service terrible...a poor brand for customers.

I purchased a demo 2016 Nissan Qashqai a month back from a Nissan dealership in Jhb.After a few weeks of driving the vehicle i noticed the gear changing was not smooth.I booked the vehicle in at CMH Nissan Durban and they had it for a day.I had to phone them for updates,i got no feedback from them. They acknowledged an issue with the gearbox and at my request booked it in the following week Tuesday as i needed the vehicle over the long easter weekend. They had the vehicle for 4 days and were then not sure exactly what parts needed changing on the gearbox. They sent the entire gearbox out to an engineering company who are sub contracted to them.

During the whole time they had the vehicle i had to phone them twice a day for an update. No feedback from themselves.I ended up speaking to the service manager who has been trying to assist.According to the "Nissan Assured" policy it is stated that a loan car will be available after 48 hrs should your car not be available to you.So on Thursday i expected a loan vehicle as ive been told that the parts needed are not available in the country. This is ridiculous...with over something like 100 nissan dealerships in south africa no standard gearbox parts are available??

In frustration i contacted Nissan customer care south africa hoping for a better outcome.I wrote a similar letter to their customer service department. They assured me they would jump in and assist.Four working days later i still dont have a loan car.Im now told no nissan vehicles are available for load in KZN and theyre considering a rental. So 192 hrs later the nissan assured promise of 48 hrs is a joke.Nissan claims on their website "We keep promises"...i would like to know how they have kept their promise to me a nissan customer. For a car that cost me over R400k this is how they have treated me.An average man in the street.Nissan in South Africa should be ashamed!
