Ford Kuga Cooling system issues
Ford Kuga issues . . .
So this morning I had to drop off my car again at CMH Kempster Ford Pretoria North. For the umpteenth time, for the same issue that has caused a number of the same vehicles catching alight.
Since buying the car in April, it has been back to the dealership a minimum of 6 times, to have the cooling system seen to, as the persistent 'engine coolant low' warning comes on every ****m. This is apart from me having had to refill the coolant level in between, at my own cost, of course. R90 per bottle, every ****m, done 18 000km since, you do the math. On the last service, which was a week ago, the Service team 'found the problem', which was a cracked radiator cap. This was discovered during a pressure test, after the 6th visit back to the dealership. Don't ask why the pressure test wasn't done sooner than that. Radiator cap replaced, and lo and behold, ****m later, the same warning appears, this time with the engine management light also coming on. I have since had the misfortune of having to pull over twice because of a 'High engine temperature'. #Kugafires When i raised the engine management light to the Service Manager, Lizanne, all i got as a response was 'Ford will sort it out'.
Speaking of Lizanne Kruger, the Service Manager at the above dealership. . . After all the communication around the persistent problem, one would expect the Service Manager to at least give the customer the time of day when expecting the customer to bring in the vehicle again. But no. . .
Despite us being 5m away from each other, Lizanne would rather strut around the Service Dept, choose to relay messages through her Service Advisor, despite me being within earshot of her. Is it too much to introduce yourself to a customer whom you have inconvenienced so much over the last four months ? Really ? No 'apologies for the inconvenience caused', no allaying of any fears of the customer, especially given the recent negative publicity the company has enjoyed about the Kuga. I'm sure that if I was a shade lighter, I would at least have gotten offered a cup of coffee in her ivory tower. . . .
To say that I am appalled by the level of customer service received, as well as the questionable workmanship at the dealership, is quite the understatement. I'm sure that any further damage caused will be for my own cost too.
Ford Motor Company of South Africa, could you please assist in getting my cooling system problem solved ?
