FALSE ADVERTISING

I have experienced the worst service from CMH Toyota Alberton

I saw a car while i was browsing on Autotrade model 2009 Verso for 110000KM for R114000 and i placed an enquiry on it.The following day i was phoned by the salesmen Patrick asking me if i liked the car, obviously i was interested and i told him to send all the documents needed and i will take the car.

He was pushing like a normal salesmen wud do for a potential sale,i told him i dont want to exceed R3900PM on the car and insurance. Patrick understood my point and said he can manage to put me through those specifications. After a little while he sent me the qoutation and this qoutaion was now R123166.31 when i ask why so far from R114600 he said the adverti*****t was "VAT EXCLUSIVE". Well to my Understanding as a customer if the amount is displayed on the webside it should say Exc VAT BUT THIS IT IS JUST AS IT IS NO TERMS ON IT.

OHK FAIR ENOUGH I LET IT SLIDE I AGREED I WILL COME AND VIEW THE CAR.

On my arrival i told Patrick Instantly that i will take the car and he must give me finance documents. Patrick went to his manager Lindy Mcgee and after 2minutes he came back with a different qoutation that is now higher than R123166.31, the car was now R138526.30 with 'You can take it or leave it attitude'

I felt very abused by this dealer and felt like my rights have been violated as a customer. I asked why is this being changed over and over again and the answer was i work for a car dealer i must know that was a mistake. This was the answer i was given by the Manager herself. I even told asked her that for that inconvinience can she do anything to meet me half way,the answer i recieved was NOP.

I filled then filled up the finance forms and told Patrick i will think about it before i send my payslip and statement because i wanted to speak to the dealer principal about this service. I tried to call but never given a chance to speak to him.

I feel they saw i desparetly want this car the saw me as a potential buyer but because they are not busy they wanted to suck R17000 extra out of me to boost their sales.

After an hour Patrick phone me again saying that there is someone who need the car i must send the papers quickly to be the first. I told him i want the car but there is too many prices on it i feel i am being ******.

This was his answer..

'Bra leave the car if you dont want it'

Thats when i felt i have to take this far as far as to car ombusment and to the media as well.
