Factory Fault

On (16 June2015) I purchased a vehicle from CMH Boksburg East Rand (Chevrolet Spark 1.2 Campus 2015). Unfortunately, the vehicle has not been satisfactory because of a rattle noise on the front wheels. I have now taken the car in three times to look at the fault and fix it, The Workshop supervisor inspected my vehicle and agreed to fix the problem under warranty, however, when I collected the vehicle and started using it again, the problem was still there, per the Workshop Forman, Service advisors and Service Manager it is the caller per pins, it was tightened for the THIRD time but a day after it was in the workshop on 25 JAN 2017 the noise remained. The service advisor called me on the day when the vehicle was booked in for the THIRD time 25 JAN 2017 and advised that my brake discs are due for skimming and that I must replace the brake pads – I advised not to proceed in replacing the brakes because the vehicle is not even on 30 000 km’s and there is no problem with the brakes or the brake pads. Ever since I bought the vehicle this noise was on the vehicle. On Saturday 11 FEB 2017 I went to see the Service Manager Abie, he told me that my vehicle is the ONLY vehicle that has this fault on the Spark addition and he advised to involve GM, order the parts, and investigate why the noise remains on the vehicle. I was promised to be contacted on Monday 13 Feb 2017 (Yesterday) which I never received any call.

I would appreciate it if you could organize to have the problem fixed or if it cannot be fixed then issue me with a new vehicle as this is considering a factory fault. As I am sure you can appreciate, I rely on my car for transport and safety of passengers and myself and apart from the inconvenience I feel unsafe in the vehicle with this noise coming from the wheels.

I look forward to settling this matter amicably. If, however, the matter is not satisfactorily resolved, I will consider to refer the matter to my Lawyer.
