Disgusting

We today went to Lanseria Airport to collect a vehicle and we directed to garage where rental firms are. We were hiring a additional car due to being a car short. We pulled into the garage and park at the first available parking nearest the firm we were hiring from. We went in at 6:25. On our departure at 6:34 we walked out to find our car wheel clamped and 3 x 1 First employees standing by our car. The apparent manager Thulasizwe, then informs myself and my husband in a arrogant and obnoxious manner that can’t we see the sign that parking is reserved for Sixt cars only. Keeping in mind said sign is the colour of the pillar and the finest writing in white. Onto this absolutely no signage on the floor of the parking bag saying no parking allowed or even a area showing customer parking. We apologized and said sorry, noting with the renovations we hadn’t seen that and how do we resolve. The so called manager then says well it’s either I called a tow truck and they charge you R3000 or you pay R500 to us, also what makes it worse is you are supporting our competitors. We then ask who can we address the issue with cause it was a genuine error and we were literally in for 8 minutes, onto this there is no client in 1First and 3-4 bays were open. The whole time the gent with the key to the clamp (1First) employee is standing next to him (Mr Manager). I then asked can I speak to management as I feel this is ridiculous. He tells me he is the only one to speak too. In the end after him continually threating us by saying ok don’t pay R500 I will call the tow truck, we paid him. And get a hand written order book note as receipt, very professional 1First. We left at 6:39. Prior to leaving as I hadn’t got the managers name I ask him his name his response is it doesn’t matter. I ask is this treatment really warranted and is customer service not a priority for your company. One the basis of how we were treated and your staff members attitude I will make sure that the poor customer service is posted on the relevant sites, and will never hire or recommend your company to any friends, colleagues or family members. I further note that R500 for a 8 minute parking infringement is ridiculous especially on the principal that fine amount is not even mentioned on the “purple on purple sign”. Totally disgusted!!!!!!
