********* business practices at CMH Hatfield - beware

Bought a second-hand car through them in February this year (BMW X3) and discovered that the car had some defects which I reported to them the very next day. The car will just disengage the gears to neutral while driving and this continued for months, sometimes it would drive nicely for a week then the problem kicks in again. With all this happening, the first time I took the car back to them, the manager sounded like the problem was with me not the car, the second time they told me that the problem had been fixed by their trusted technician but this never was, the third they took to BMW Menlyn as per their claim and it came back a week suggesting that it was a software problem and it has since been uploaded with new software, but still the problem did not go, I do not remember how many times I got stuck on the highway, the scary part is twice while in the fast lane N1 going to Joburg, luckily the guy following me on the first incident was a good driver.

I made a decision to take the car back to the dealer, little did I know that this was going to be the beginning of real issues/problems. regardless of having to have had return the car while still inside the warranty period, it will be up to them at their own time to make a decision on the way forward, a decision that will only benefit them, a decision that obviously feed to their quest of taking from ******** and innocent customers whom would suspected anything especially after having had seen the tag line that says "Quality Approved by Ford". I paid R90000.00 cash as a deposit for that car and have never driven it for more than a month, all combined.
