Horrible experience with "Click & Plant"
Disappointment is putting it mildly. I don’t know what to say or what to think. I work at a nursery and we also courier plants all over the country and I was utterly disappointed with the service I received from “click & plant”. Communication is almost non-existing. Response time tedious – receiving invoice 12 working days after order was placed, received first box 13 working days after payment was done and second box 17 working days after that (30 working days after payment was done) and I am still waiting for the third box. Packaging/boxing of plants is dismal – damaged/broken plants, soil all over the place. No identifying labels on plants. Plants missing. Dead plants. This is my ordeal: I was interested in the Salvia lanceolate. I saw that “Click & Plant” had it in stock. We are situated in Pretoria and “Click & Plant” in Cape Town so; to make it worthwhile, I ordered some other plants as well – 24 plants in total. Placed my order on the 18th of March. I received an email from Nick to inform me that the courier cost would be R 690. Nick asked me if I still wanted to proceed. I asked him for how many boxes and he rep**** that it would be 3 boxes of 8 plants each. I said it was fine (it was a bit more than what The Courier guy would charge us to send 3 boxes of 8 plants each from Pretoria to Cape Town). I heard nothing back so I emailed again on the 21st of March informing them again that they can proceed to send me the invoice. I Received a notification on the 25th of March that my order was being processed and that the invoice will follow shortly. I received no invoice so on the 28th I sent them a follow-up emailed requesting the invoice I received an invoice on the 2nd of April for 20 plants which I paid immediately on that day and requested my bank to send them the POP. I heard nothing from them, so I sent the POP again on the 8th of April and asked that they provide me with the courier tracking details as soon as it goes out. Again, I received no reply, so I wrote on the 10th asking for feedback. On the 11th Nick rep**** and said my order will go out on the 15th and that they would send me the waybill details on the day. Heard nothing from them on the 15th so I emailed them on the 16th asking for tracking details…. Again, no response. Emailed on the 18th…. still no reply. On the 19th of April I Received a notification from a courier company that a parcel was out for delivery. Great was my disappointment when only one box and not three, was delivered. This one box contained only 10 plants, one of which was dead. One naturally would have expected them to notify the client that only a part of the order was going out with the rest to follow, but this was not the case. I phoned “Click & Plant” after opening the box …no answer…I sent a WhatsApp (their website indicated that you could send a WhatsApp) …no reply. I then emailed them informing them that there were 10 plants short and of the 10 plants that was in the box, one plant was dead. I attached pictures. None of the plants in the box had identifying names. I received no reply from them, so I re-sent the email again on the 22nd. Later that day, Nick rep****. He said that they only sent the one box since they were not happy with the other plants and that the rest of the plants will be sent out that week (week of the 22nd) including a replacement for the dead plant. I then asked him to please put names on each of the plants so that I can be able to identify them when they arrive. Then there was again “radio silence” from “Click & Plant” I emailed them on the 26th asking for an update since I am waiting for the tracking number for the box ….. no reply Emailed again a week later, on the 29th….no reply Three weeks later, without any notification, a box arrived on the 14th of May with only 8 plants - , 4 of them was damaged/broken, 2 of them was dead (they appeared to be unrooted cuttings and to top it all off, one of these two dead plants was the reason for the whole order!!!!!!) and again two plants short/missing. I immediately phoned … again no answer, whatsapp .… again, no reply. I Emailed, along with photos of the dead and broken plants. Nick rep****. He apologized for the two dead plants as well as the two plants that was missing, he said the box probably got squashed by other boxes during transit. He said that they will replace the two dead plants and the plants that were damaged/broken and will send them along with the two plants that was outstanding. That was the 14th of May. It is now the 19th of June….I am still waiting for those plants.
