ClearScore
Based on recent customer reviews, ClearScore draws heavy criticism for credit report accuracy, with South African users reporting phantom missed payments, accounts that stay open after settlement, and Vodacom or retail balances left outdated for months. Disputes referred to Experian reportedly go unanswered, while locked profiles, failed password resets and AI generated replies leave customers without human contact. ClearScore Protect billing and unexplained score drops add further frustration. A smaller group praises the free platform, clean interface, credit coaching and useful loan matches.

I have NOT been able to log into my Clearscore account for over 2 months - keeps on saying undergoing maintenance, have tried resesetting password and get same answer, chat line via email gives me contradicting information from my account was hacked to they have a bug which their tech department cannot seem to fix. Utter BS - this is not acceptable and made worse that one cannot speak to anyone and its these emails to and from over 2 months. I now want to cancel my account but I cannot log in. I am furious beyond furious - where is their modern technology?....

I lodged a complaint with ClearScore. An AI engine responded with a nonsense answer that does not correspond to their web instructions and real people are impossible to contact.

I am extremely disappointed with ClearScore Protect’s billing practices. I signed up under the understanding that I would be charged monthly, yet I have been debited for the entire year upfront without this being clearly communicated to me. This is misleading and completely unacceptable. If the intention was to charge an annual fee, this should have been clearly disclosed before taking the payment. I would not have agreed to an annual payment when I understood the subscription to be monthly. I am requesting an immediate full refund of the amount deducted and cancellation of the subscription. Please also provide a clear explanation of why I was charged for the full year and where I agreed to an annual upfront payment. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly. If not, I will escalate the complaint to the relevant consumer protection and financial authorities.

Biggest hogwash under the sun. Takes years to remove a payed up account. Do not exceed a credit limit. Missed payments. Never been told by any creditor yet this **** appears and never affects my purchases. These institutions should be held liable firstly as they publish these. It is easy to handle creditors by not supporting them in future.

For months now Clearscore has been showing my profile as exceeding my credit limit in the "last six months" as negative point that needs "work" but cannot tell me on what! This is totally not true and calls logged about this with Clearscore keeps ending up with them referring the matter to Experian their credit bureau partner who will come back to me and does not. This is abuse. If you want to insult and accuse me and call me irresponsible with credit at least have the common curtesy to tell me where when and how much. I worked hard on keeping my credit record clean not to be ruined by this level of incompetence.

The Clearscore communication is very poor hence most people have complained on social media about their log in issues and poor communication... when you tell them that you're struggling to log in, they say they'll send an email which they never send, there's no call option which you can get assistance from. The service of clearscore is very disappointing
