Worst service ... ever
So I receive an increase letter and pressured to sign and renew lease for the next 12 months. City property dangling a 1500 voucher. They inceeaser my rent by 400. I called their office a d asked for no increase or reduction. Avril told me straight that they will not reduce or consider no increase. I have to wait until the last day of my lease to come.. then I can lodge another complaint and only then they will maybe consider. .. first of all at that time they wi be calling me nonstop asking me when I'm paying rent. Which one??? The minute I vacate this flat.. it will be advertise for a very low amount and no deposit... my car got scratched by another tenant bcs 5heir parking space is ridiculously small but no one cares.. as long as they take our money every month
I would like to refer you back to your original lease agreement signed with City Property from 1 May 2018, in which you agreed to an annual increase on the rental. As for the pressure we are putting you under to sign a lease agreement, I would like to state that no one can force a person to sign a lease agreement or renew their lease agreement for another 12 month period, the choice remains yours. Should you choose to not sign a renewal for 12 months, your lease will automatically continue on a month to month basis until you provide us with a written notice, 20 business days before your vacate date, of your intent to vacate the premises.
With regard to the voucher, it is just our way of saying thank you for being a loyal tenant.
The current market rental for 1 bedroom units at Lisa's Place is R4600.00, which means that your increase will bring your rental in line with the current market rental, which is the main reason why we cannot offer you a reduction.
With regard to your vehicle being scratched. This matter was attended to by the Property Manager who requested you to contact him should you prefer to move to another parking bay, but he never heard from you after his request, and we accepted that you are satisfied with the bay you are parking in and that the matter was resolved.
We are willing to assist you with a more affordable apartment should you choose to move to a smaller unit, or another building where we may be able to offer you a similar sized unit at a better price. You are welcome to contact us to take up this offer and discuss any other assistance we may be able to offer you.
I trust you find this in order.
