without a lease agreement

I had a signed contract with CAP at Steyns Place unit 424 from the beginning of January 2015 to December 2015.In January 2016 I gave them notice,to my surprise I was told that they have automatically renewed my contract for another year.How do you renew a contract without my consent? The contract signed between myself and CAP ended in December 2015. which law does it say a contract to be automatically renewed? and now I am been charged for Cancellation fee which amount to R3575.<br> <br> I have enquired about this several times last week,I sent emails,phoned but it just doesn't make sense. even if I take the legal route of which I will be ,I don't have a signed contract with CAP till 2016.You won't even produce a signed contract for 2016.<br> <br> You locked up my flat in December 2015 for been in arears,clearly that was a sign that I can not afford to pay that flat anymore.It is ridiculous to be charged Cancellation fee.
