When trying to move out after the contract expires they charge you for not giving them notice yet the contract states it expires in such a date

Thank you for raising this with us. Please note that providing one months notice when terminating a lease agreement is stipulated in your contract. A notice of lease expiry and or renewal letter is also sent to you within 2 months before your lease expiry date. This letter reminds you about your lease expiry date and is also a request to inform the landlord of your intention(s) with the lease agreement. 

If you do not inform the landlord of your intentions, the lease will continue month to month. The process is also explained to you by our Customer Service team when you indicate that you would like to terminate the lease.
