Unexplained damages charged

I am not happy with city property as when I vacated the premises the care taker said there were no damages however now I get a statement that indicates damages to the value of R8 000 and when we entered the place there was inspections done we even wrote our issues with the place and gave the caretaker he said that some of the things are just wear and tear of the property we won't have issues when we vacate the premises.
