Unacceptable customer service for a pregnant young lady

I've recently experienced the most horrid situation with City Property.

I've lived at Riccis Place for 2 years and have always paid on time, well in advance 90% of the time. I was living in a bachelor (125) since 2014 and was due to move out on the 30th April 2016. I decided to upgrade to a 1 bedroom in the same building. I app****, got approved for room 1010 and I payed full amounts, again well in advance. I was pregnant at the time and was due to deliver on the 4th of May 2016.

I signed the new contract and was told to move in on the 1st of May 2016. However, my son came early and I gave birth on the 29th of April 2016. I was in hospital on the day I'm supposed to move in so I made arrangements with my landlord that my family will move on my behalf. What happened next is hurtful.

I found out on the day I'm supposed to move in that the room I'm supposed to move into still had tenants and they are not moving out. So I've payed for an apartment that has occupants already. Now, I'm left with no place to move into and it's a Sunday and the next day is a holiday so I can't fix this with city property. I'm told to wait until the 3rd to get this fixed.

im still in hospital with a new born, as I'm discharged from the hospital I have to move back to the bachelor.

Mind you I'm originally from Pretoria so my whole family is that side. I'm alone in Joburg.

I had arranged for my whole family to come help me move on that weekend. But now that I can't move they all went back home.

i have to leave a 3 day old child to go to the offices to get this fixed, my mom had to miss work to look after my son and I'm told they can arrange another apartment but I can only move in the next day (4th).

I'm with a 3 day old child and no one to help me move. So I have to ask city property to make a plan and arrange people to help me move. The landlord and security guard had to help me move. They had to come into the bachelor where my son is and move the stuff out. In my culture, nobody is supposed to come into the room where the newborn is. I felt violated.

This experience was dreadful, painful, inconveniencing, unprofessional, disrespectful and undermining.

Now I just got my first statement and it shows that R5509 is due by me for rent, whereas my rent is R3900. I've already paid my initial deposits and fees due by me. Now I have to leave my 1 month old son and go to the offices again to get this sorted out. I live alone with my son. I must now arrange someone to come look after him so I can sort this out.

I am so over these errors and ups and downs. I have a newborn to take care of and running low on energy to be running around fixing things that are not my fault.

This is unacceptable really. I require urgent assistance.

I've never missed my rent in the 2 years I've lived here, it's not fair having to go through this.

please contact me and get it fixed ASAP!!!
