Rude building manager

<p>I am a tenant at Steyns Place. I had an issue with my plug short circuiting which one of the plugs burnt out. I reported the issue in the maintenance report book of which the maintenance guy came to have a look at the problem. He told me that the one plug which had one burnt he could fix but the other plug I would need to pay for.</p> <p>I went to enquire with the building manager as to why for clarity as why I would need to pay for a plug whereas is responsible for the maintenance of the flat. Him without barely saying anything to me asked for my flat number and pulled out an inspection report I had signed when I had moved in and said there were no issues of I had noted relating to flat when I had moved in. He started becoming rude and speaking down on me telling me that I needed to sign the maintenance slip and if i had a problem with that I must contact the property manager, of which I refused and left because of his rude attitude towards me.</p> <p>I went to the office to speak to the property manager of which i was told she was not available and another lady helped me explaining the City Property maintenance procedures of which I understood as to why I needed to pay, she then told me to leave my details for the property manager who will get back to me.</p> <p>The property manager did in fact give me a call and I made arrangements for the plugs to be sorted out.</p> <p>The one issue I still have which is bugging me is that the duration of the phone call I had with the property manager not once did she ask why I had been to her office and not once did she apologise for the property managers rude behaviour towards me, meaning she condones how the building manager treats tenants who have issues.</p> <p>My issue was never about not paying but getting clarity for what exactly was I going to be paying for, my issue was how rude the building manager handled the situation being totally disrespectful and patronizing towards me.</p> <p> </p>
