Poor customer service (They charge you when you put a notice).

One of the stuff at city property offices gave us an attitude(she was very rude), all we wanted was to notify city property that we will be leaving end of the month January but we were told that we will be charged an amount R4065 because we did not serve city property with a 20 days notice (this was on the 23rd of January 2018). 1) We are moving to a new place mainly because City Property is too expensive and are trying to save money, then to be charged even for putting a notice (that is extremely disheartening considering that we will be required to pay deposit and rent on the new place). 2) I have been a client of city property for over 26 months(my contract was on a month to month bases) and I must say this is disgusting service and city property lacks empathy and personal touch.

Basically I am being charged R4065 for wanting to leave on the 1st of February, even after being charged City Properly has the audacity of informing those interested in the apartment that we will be leaving end of January but they insisted that our notice should run up until the 19th of February.

It seems like they want to bring in other tenents 1st of February because we said we will be leaving 1st of February, but how is that fair because we have already been charged for February.

We are very keen on moving on the 1st of February if we can be refunded the pro-rata charged for up until the 19th of February, we realized also that there are many tenets who are interested in this place and they are keen on moving in the 1st of February so I don't understand why city property wouldn't just refund us all days from 1st of February until the 19th so that we can move out and allow other tenants to utilize the place.

Now we have to stay up-until the 19th even though we don't want to and there are tenants interested in moving in 1st of January, this does not make sense at all.
