City property has not given me my deposit, I served a notice in December 2020,I asked them if I could vacate the premises by the 31st of December 2020 they said I needed to cover the notice period and I could only move out on the 8th of January 2021.They also said that they were going to deduct some money from the deposit for the 8 days in January.Which I agreed too. However, in January the 27th , they started sending emails saying I owe them R4500 for rent.When I verified the matter with them showing them email communications regarding my notice .They then said it was an error , I actually owe them R500 which couldn't be deducted from the deposit as my deposit was not sufficient.Which I don't understand as they make monthly interest from the deposit we give them........ITS SO SAID BECAUSE PEOPLE HAD WARNED ME ABOUT RENTING WITH THEM.NEVER AGAIN
