Lease Agreement is Not Credit

I Took up a 12 Month Lease with City Property in February 2021 and Have not had any problems or issues with them whatsoever, Recently I tried to get vehicle finance and was declined due to a City Property listing, I have not missed payments and upon and I’m fairly new to leasing so is it fair for Lease agreement to reflect as a credit account on my credit profile as the amount I pay for rent reflects as a Huge Monthly Debt Negatively affecting my credit score
