Failure to activate debit order for 3 months

I started renting with City Property since January 2015. The lease states that rent payments should be paid no later than the 1st of every month. I get my monthly salary on the last day of the month. Realising what a hustle it is to go to the bank to withdraw money and then go queue at City Property to pay my rent I decided to rather fill-in the debit order authorisation form so as to have the rent money debited. After failure by City Property to debit my account end of February I went to their offices to try and resolve the matter, to which Patrick the Customer Services Manager assured me will be attended to. End of March same story, my account was not debited with the rent amount, I went to City Property to pay it by hand and spoke to Patrick about the issue again. Now end of April still my account was not debited and I have received an sms today saying if I fail to pay, actions will be taken against me. At this moment I do not have the required amount in my account to pay due to debits that shouldnt have gone off, and it would take a few days for the funds to be available in my account. Can my matter please be referred to someone that will resolve it. And Patrick reprimanded.

Hello Mamohube01,

We do apologise, the Credit Controller that is responsible for the account, was suppose to contact you after Patrick escalated your query, to her, in March when you contacted him. We did receive your email dated 05/05/2015, and this was the first time he became aware that the debit order was not processed. The Credit Controller did contact you and as per your discussion, you will resend the debit order forms. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience this has caused.
Regards
Customer Services
