City Property Pretoria

I vacated the the building named Steyn's place in pretoria cnr schoeman & andries str owned by city property on the 1st of August 2016. Was told that it will take three to six to get my refund coz they have a long process of getting their monthly municipality bills & their service providers also take long to send invoices so they can finalise all payments.

From the end of the fourth week since moving out i have not heard any communication from them & whenever you call to enquire you only end up speaking to the receptionist whom are very rude and seem to be in a hurry & they always tell you that the person in charge is busy & can't speak to tenants. Everytime you call you get a different person & have to always start from beginning & explain your story over n over again.

Today i have spoken to two ladies at reception by the name of Jeanine & Priscilla whom were both very rude & unhelpful & seemed annoyed by my query, having asked Priscilla countless times that i needed to speak to a superior that can give me assurity as to when i'll get my refund & i was was told that the administrator working on my account does not speak to tenants, the very same people that they have been hired to serve & are now refused the very same service that we pay for.

I am mostly disgusted by Priscilla & her attitude, she even dared me to go to the media & see if i'll get anywhere because she's telling what she knows & she can not help any further.

City property is a self driven company & all about themselves & their profits, on many occassions they have only prioritised themselves above the client & it seems to be cultural as almost everyone there has the same attitude with an expetion of others.

I requested to speak to the complaints manager by the name of Letitia and i was told that she can't speak to me & i must send her an email, i find that to be highly unfair to us the clients as they fail to meet their service delivery promise to us. City Property the very same company that locks out tenats that have not met their monthly rental obligations but now its them that must pay up & suddenly theres this long processes that must take place.

They have failed me & i'm certain that many people have also been failed n bul**** by this vicious, greedy company which thinks they bigger than anything else.

I'd like to edge people to be very careful when dealing with this company of *****s.

Good day Mr Skonela,

After investigating your complaints we found that you have requested us today to rather transfer your funds to a different bank account. Unfortunately we cannot do this without proper authorisation, and a telephone call is unfortunately not enough to proof that we are speaking to the correct person. You and needed you to complete a consent to transfer funds document. We have received this document today and can unfortunately not refund the money today as we need to change your banking details on our system in order to do an EFT.

The ladies you refer to works in our Contact Centre and are not receptionists, this is also the reason why you speak to a different person when you call in. Calls are divided between the different Contact Centre Agents and you will not always speak to the same person when calling in, unless you ask to speak to the same person. We have listend to the call recordings and found that your allegations in this review, with regard to the ladies treating you rudely, are not entirely true.

The manager you refer to was in a meeting at the time of your call and that is why Priscilla asked you for the details regarding your complaint. We do agree that there was no need to request an email, but she could have informed the responsible manager about the problem once she returned from the meeting.

City Property at all times strives to provide all its Tenants with the best possible customer service to ensure Tenant satisfaction. We therefore, will attend to you request received today, 6 September 2016, in order to transfer the funds into the newly supp**** bank account as soon as possible. You will receive notification from us as soon as the funds have been paid into your bank account.

Kind regards,

City Property Customer Service Team
