City property jeffs place
I signed a fixed six-month lease at Jeff’s Place and even paid the full six months’ rent upfront. From the start, I made it clear I only wanted six months. Twenty-six days before expiry, I reminded the building manager and asked if anything needed to be signed—no guidance was given.
Now City Property is refusing to return my deposit and insisting I must pay another month’s rent. This is unfair, dishonest, and feels like an attempt to rob tenants who act in good faith. Poor communication from staff should not be used as an excuse to withhold deposits or force extra payments.
