A Little Accountability Goes A Long Way

I receive a MONTHLY statement received City Property stating the amount due, previous transactions as well as the reference number for all payments. This is the same reference I have been using for over a year. Yet I received an sms from them stating my account was in arrears. After calling in and sending proof of payment they advised that the reference I used was incorrect, the same reference on THEIR monthly statement and the same reference I have been using for all previous payments is now suddenly wrong?

My frustrations stem from the fact that they update the credit bureau to say my account is in arrears and this negatively affects my credit record, and it is unacceptable especially because I make payments timeously every month without fail.

This is the second time I am experiencing this with City Property and accountability is never taken, instead the blame is always shifted. The previous encounter was when they erroneously allocated my money to a different account, proceeded to update the credit bureau to say my account is in arrears, I knew nothing of this until I was trying to finance my car and I was told I am not paying City Property. Even then, I received no apology from them, absolutely no accountability. Instead they shoved a paid up letter in my face and told me the Credit Bureau had been updated, that is not enough when the fault clearly wasn't with me.

I am appalled at the lack of understanding and accountability from them, especially having kept an excellent account with them for close to 3 years now.
