Yes

Electricity is always switched off in our area, sometimes for days at a time, and at times the power is so weak it can barely switch on a single light properly. This also goes on for days at a time. This is inconsistent with load shedding, as it this only happens in our area, and load shedding would not go on for up to a week in consecutive days. It is hard to live in this cold weather, and inconsiderate for students who cannot study in the dark, and no cooking whatsoever can happen in homes. Crime becomes rife, thus affecting the safety of people having to walk home from their daily occupations in the dark (********* are smart), as well as break ins in homes. Going to the City Power offices in Booysens is useless as no assistance is received, there is no one to listen or help us. The presidential helpline is also not in operation anymore, calls never actually get through, we are left in the dark, literally.
